Implementing Toronto’s Sanctuary City policy: providing food to our most marginalized communities

Check out the latest blog posting by TFPC discussing and explaining how Toronto’s Sanctuary City affects the food movement. This is a great follow up to the December meeting (for meeting notes, click here). The blog explains why Torontonians are undocumented, why a Sanctuary City Policy and gives tips on the implementation of Sanctuary City within the food movement. The Toronto Youth Food Policy Council supports the meaningful implementation of the Sanctuary City policy in the community food sector and supports continued efforts towards the realization of food access without fear.
The Solidarity City Network offers training and support to organizations who wish to develop internal policies and protocols that can ensure the implementation of a Solidarity City.
