First municipal election picnic accomplished!

Picnic in community garden

On July 14, we held our first picnic potluck and talked about municipal politics in Don Valley East!

We were graciously hosted by Wendy and the Dallington Pollinators Community Garden. The garden is in full swing production and everyone is welcome to help out. Contact the garden team though the link above if you want to learn more. (They even have drop-in gardening hours!)

We had a great spread of foods to share. The watermelon was particularly popular.

And we were joined by Ward 33 School Trustee candidate Ken Lister  as well as Ward 33 City Council candidate Divya Nayak.

We would love to host a similar event in your community. If you want to talk to the TYFPC about hosting a picnic and a discussion, please contact Kaylen, Advocacy Committee Co-Lead, at kfredrickson@tyfpc.ca.
